It's obvious what to do, going by the most recent posts on the UKPPO Newcastle Airport 'group' thread. One of them told us what they VERY VERY strongly suggest, when people get a claim about a PCN from this location. The group has tested it!
So, email BW Legal back and tell them what you will do if they file a claim and that you will hold their client liable for the £100 court fee and any other losses caused by your application to the court.
No more clues and no links - read the group UKPPO Newcastle thread.
No asking what application to the court...please read what the group said they recommend.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Thanks, have checked that out - sorry if I'm being a bit thick.. Do I just ignore this and then file that defence once I receive court papers? Possibly writing to my MP in the meantime or do I write to BWLegal with that defence?0

No, they have stated themselves that bye-laws apply. Bye laws prosecutions are dealt with in Magistrates Courts, not County Courts, they cannot mix and match.
But mix and match is exactly what the bye laws for Newcastle Airport do. Some transgressions say it will result Magistrates Court action whilst other transgressions will result in a Parking Charge Notice being issued.

Written in 2009, the cheeky perishers even included a clause that pre-empted keeper liability.0 -
OK, thanks for all your help0

You understand you won't be defending the claim? Nor admitting it?
And what to say to BW Legal NOW to try to stop them? The group thread tells us what worked, and the wording for the application (if a claim arrives) is earlier in that thread.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

I understand I am not to the point of defending yet and that I am not admitting it. I am not sure what to say to them as yet, can't see that on the group thread, maybe I'm just missing something0
