Playmobil Knights Castle Bargain!

I'm a big fan of Playmobil (we have the childrens playground which is fab).
I went to TKMAX today and saw the Playmobil castle there for £38 - I have to say that looking at the pack - it didn't look as exciting as other playmobil sets - and seemed to include just the castle itself, 3 knights, and a few swords. Not the normal range of little bits and bobs you get with playmobil. Personally I didn't think it was worth £38. It's a different castle to the John Lewis one above0 -
Hi Thanks for everyone's advice. I can see that the majority of people are reccomending this item but they usually have older children. I understand my two year old probably wont get much use out of it just yet but he has a 4 year old sister and i would rather get hima present he can grow into. I also like to buy them a larger present that will last rather than lots of little bits that get broke or lost over time.
After considering all these things I think I will opt for a castle/fort for him but will go for a wooden one either from ELC or an independant wooden toy store. He is rather clumsy and i would like to avoid small parts which he may still decide to eat... I will however in the future either add on Playmobil sets or but a castle at an older age. Thanks for all the advice.Saving needed to emigrate to Oz*September 2015*

My iccle boy is 4,
(:bdaycake:he is 5 this xmas:xmastree:)
And I agree with what you have written above, although I wouldnt buy an expensive one. Saying that my mum always told me to buy a safe quality toy, (because of small parts!):idea:Have you looked on ebay in your local area, as people may be getting rid of toys now to make room for christmas toys and you could pick it up (save on postage) and may get a bargain on a new or nearly new wooden castle/fort.~~~~~~~~~~~~:kisses3: "In Raising Your Children;" :kisses3:"Spend Half As Much Money n Twice As Much Time."0 -

hiya we are big playmobil fans too and have bought the castle from Tk max no its not the same as the john lewis one but it still retails at £85 everywhere else I have not found it cheaper elsewhere.
We really like it yes it does not have as much "stuff" with it as some other sets but to be honest that all just gets lost in our house anyway I would rather have a few big bits !
we have bought a few nights to go with it.

Hi
I have two boys age 3 and 7 now but my 3 year old has played with playmobil since he was 2 years old and he loves it. Both boys cannot get enough of it. I think you just have to watch the smaller pieces with little ones.
I also saw the Castle in TKMaxx and my youngest son was asking for it but we have the rock castle which they love. Picked up a viking set for a stocking filler at TKMaxx for £5.99.
I have posted this on another thread but I also picked up some playmobil Halloween biggish pumpkins with playmobil either ghosts, dracula, tiger and devil, or mummy in at Tesco reduced from £3 to 75p. Grabbed a couple for stocking fillers for my boys.0 -

Hi Yes I saw this the other day! My DD is into everything pink but I would prefer something more as a main present for him so perhaps much sturdier. He has had a lot of pass me on toys of his sisters which were mostly pink but we are at the stage now we think he deserves his own toys and a little independance from his sister. My DH is also getting worried about his tendancy to wear mummies high heels etc(only in a joking sort of way)...Saving needed to emigrate to Oz*September 2015*

I would actually say playmobil is more sturdy than the wooden ones and believe me we are major wooden toy fans here .
I am not keen on plastic toys but would always make an exeption for playmobil it is so sturdy and well made.
