Hi

What is the best insurance company to go with after a TT99 and how much of a penalty will it be on the insurance.

Thanks

    TT99 - ban after accumulating 12 points.

How long is a piece of string?

Type of car, area, age, occupation? Other convictions? Claims?

Best bet is probably a local broker (not Swintons).

Yes, which means there are numerous convictions within the last five years to declare.

The type of penalties you got will have an effect. If there's a 6 pointer in there it'll cost a bucketload more than if it was four 3 pointers. If the 6 points was for no insurance or there's a DD code expect to have your pants pulled down.

Why do you think two convictions will cost more than four?

Surely two speed offences is better than four careless driving offences.

As Tarambor or suggests the type of convictions makes a big difference to how the premium is loaded. Insurers really dislike certain convictions, mobile phone conviction, drink or drug driving conviction and no insurance convictions.

He said six pointers, you can get that for speeding and only three for driving without a licence.

But no-one mentioned driving without a licence.
