Hi
so last week i received a letter in the post, i have not received anything regarding this ticket before this letter from DRP.
The ''Incident'' date is 1st Feb 2018,
I am aware not to name the driver from when i had one before, but as yes the car was parked there and was entitled to do so as the driver was a customer so there must have been an issue with the system. so do i just tell them this and get them to clarify from the restaurant or do i have to go through the appeals? denying it was me and and im not willing nor do i have to tell them who the driver was??
so now im not sure what to do, do i contact DRP debt recovery and say the above what happened or do i appeal it? i dont even know the parking company as ive only had this letter come through!
any help would be appreciated thanks in advance

Doesn't the letter from DRP name their client, i.e. the parking company?0

Before starting a new thread and asking for help everyone is politely asked to read up on this in the Newbies FAQ thread near the top of the forum
Had you done so you would have now known the advice throughout here is never to reveal who was driving
You need to edit your post to remove details of who was driving
Then read up in the FAQ on how to deal with debt collectors in #4 there0 -
Please read post four of the Newbies Sticky - it covers DRP and what you need to do about them in its absolute entirety.
We do not need to see yet another DRP letter.
The rest of the thread will inform you about private parking and lay out your remaining options - which at this stage are pretty much to wait and see if the issuing PPC tries a court claim (anything up to six year in England and Wales) - and use this time to get ready to rebut them!

ah yes it does their client it says is Premier Park ldt.

I dont want to wait incase it goes to court, i was there but i was entitled to be there, is it worth me contacting the company to explain?0 -
neither PP or DRP will care about any back story at this time
the time for anyone to appeal it is long gone
only a fool or somebody with good legal knowledge or advice would try to appeal or defend this as a driver, not unless the PPC compliaed with POFA2012
if it gets to a court case then the decision needs to be made as to fight as keeper , or fight as driver
never assume these lagal matters are clear cut, or that a judge will find in your favour
we may agree that honesty should gain the correct result (a win for the motorist) - but reality is that the same motorist ay lose on a technicality
PP have 6 years to take this to court
DRP are powerless and should be completely and utterly ignored0 -
But Sammy, you have just told the world, including the private parking companies, who the driver was.
The PPCs are known to trawl forums like this and can use your posts against you.
Perhaps your most recent post should look something like:I am aware not to name the driver from when i had one before, but as yes the car was parked there and was entitled to do so as the driver was a customer so there must have been an issue with the system. so do i just tell them this and get them to clarify from the restaurant or do i have to go through the appeals? denying it was me and and im not willing nor do i have to tell them who the driver was??Do not tell any one who the driver was.
You need to urgently edit your post now!0 -
Sammy, you made me smile that DRP issue tickets
Based on the current rubbish DRP send out, doubt
they would know the difference from the entry to
a car park from the exit.
Money bandits to ignore0 -
We don't want to see any DRP letter (ever again) thanks very much! Seen them all.
See the links in post #4 of the NEWBIES thread and come back if you actually get a claim to defend, from PP themselves. Nothing more to say, we don't need threads about debt collector letters and nor do you!
The advice is already clear in the 4th post of the NEWBIES thread.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
