Good morning all
Thank you for starting us off Holly, pleased you enjoyed your weekend.
Judi you do so much for everyone, be kind to yourself
Redruby hope you are ok, can you have some sort of personal alarm to get help?
TA hope things improve for Mr TA hugs
Good to 'see' you Carolbee hope you have a lovely holiday
GERS, your garden looks lovely and the views are amazing. I was thinking of buying a little camouflage tent and hiding in a corner. I'm very quiet, you wouldn't see me and I could escape from the world, a visit from Dave would make my day.
Hope you all have a good dayIf you walk at night no-one will see you cry.0 -
Morning everyone
hollyharvey - thanks for starting us off x
Hugs to those that want/need one x
Happy birthday to those with a birthday x
Weather is rather cloudy but should brighten up as the days goes on.
DH and myself been up a while, had peaceful cuppas, I've showered, dressed, had brekkie and now put my face on. DS1 went out last night and got home in the early hours, so won't see him for a while, DS2 is moving about, and has a cuppa and brekkie.
Yesterday lunch was roast beef, roasties, mash, cauli/broc cheese, carrots, peas, yorkshires and gravy, ice cream or brioche for those that wanted some. Today I'll do some picky bits and hot quiche, pizza, some HM potato salad, cheese pasta salad, salad etc. Later I'll need to organise pack ups etc for the tomorrow.
Yesterday morning we went to visit the parents and passed my parents as they were going out in the opposite direction, so just visited DH's parents and managed to buy a new cable for the pc as old one seemed to have given up the ghost. All appears to be working at the moment. Menfolk did some work in the garden whilst I prepped and cooked the lunch. Still have a bit more to do, but it's getting there. We'll be having a bit of a chill day today before going back to work tomorrow.
Keep safe and well x

Morning ((((((((((hugs)))))))))) if you need one.
HH glad you had a good weekend with your brother.
Again we did not get the forecast storm, not even any rain, but this morning its typical bank holiday weather, windy, cold and grey.
Load of washing in, it should dry quite quickly on the line. I also have bed linen to iron from the day we went away, just did not get to it last week, but bed will need changing again, do not want two loads of bed linen to iron!!
No real plans for today, guess OH will be out in the garden. He has stopped having his afternoon siesta, I find the afternoons long and boring now he does not go for his rest.
Mince and dough balls for supper tonight, just got the mince out of the freezer, will give it a quick zap in the combi to start it defrosting........0 -
Morning all,
Grump is having a melt down...we don't have enough phone chargers and leads. His bag used to be full.
Tried to explain..There's one downstairs, one upstairs, one in his camper, one I chucked cause the lead broke and he said the plug thing was broke.
He's off out today.. I ain't going with him.
Onwards and forwards

Morning all
Its another beautiful day here we have been so lucky with the weather :j DD is just putting a load of her washing on so that can go on the line.
True to form when we took Evie out yesterday she fount a rabbit burrow where the ground was quite sandy and dusty, down she went on her back and had a good roll around, she came up filthy and her bandana had gone from red to black :rotfl:she was extremely pleased with herself !!
BBQ again tonight I am becoming quite the expert at different things to cook, yesterday I did peppers stuffed with three different cheeses with breadcrumbs on top and mushrooms stuffed with mozzarella sour cream and paprika they were both very tasty. Will do some more bits tonight.
Going to start packing today, I will get most of the bits and bobs in and just put the last minute things in later in the week.
Silver oldie thanks for the suggestion I don't know if a personal alarm would work, the other site is a caf! in a council building where we are on the bottom floor completely on our own and the workers come down to us, there are some hot desks to one side of us but there is often no one on them, so we really are n our own. I just hope he is not allowed back.
Right better get on, have good days all xx0 -
Good morning all,
I've done the ironing (not much to do) before the weather starts really warming up. I'm just having a ten minute tea break before I go and cut the grass in the back garden - also before it gets too hot out there. I may put the pool out for the HT and his friends later. They may be teenagers but they still love to mess around with water on hot days. If they need feeding I have a can of hot dogs (yuk) and some finger rolls.
I need to do some baking later. My friend has requested hobnobs and the HT would like brownies. Mooching round the house not doing too much will suit me later so they'll probably both get their requests
Take care all of you0 -
Morning all
Thanks for the thread Holly, hugs to those in need.
It's misty here though it's supposed to clear later I shall throw my self into some housework once I've drunk my coffee.
Have a good day everyone.

Morning all.
Dad came for lunch yesterday and moaned all day about being ill. I told him again to make another appointment at the GP's.So that's it. I've given up. I can't do any more, it's in his hands now. He obviously knows best so he has to get on with things.
Sorry just had to get that off my chest.
This morning I have washed the holiday towels and stripped the bed. I'm waiting for the bedding to finish and then I shall hang it out as the weather today isn't too bad. Sunny intervals and a breeze :T. We are due more rain later though
.
Mr Fix It is playing.... er tidying up in the shed, allegedly. My plans today are to remake the bed and see if I can do anything in the garden, however it's still very wet underfoot.
Tea tonight will be bacon and egg etc.. easy and quick.
Holly glad you had a lovely time with your brother and niece.
Gers the garden is starting to look very smart. I'm jealous as mine is looking more and more like a jungle
.
TA I'm shall send MR TA healing vibes everyday. Look after yourself too. Extra hugs coming your way.
Carolbee just post when you want/can. You will be welcomed at any time.
Speky you must go to play football........... I need the exercise ! :rotfl::rotfl:
Camelot happy that you got back safely.
LaineyT I'm also avoiding the shops, can't seem to "do" crowds these days. Hope Lu gets her bath, I'm sure she'll enjoy that.
Scarlett I'm glad that I'm not the only one with garden woes. Sorry that's not helping you though.
OK washing finished so will hang it out now.
Take care all, many hugs to anyone who wants or needs them.Failure is simply the opportunity to begin again, but this time more intelligently0 -
We don't iron very much - mainly hankies so that they fit in the drawer nicely.Im a slovenly mare that doesnt iron at all. All my clothes are tumble dried (not very moneysaving i know) so they really only need hanging when they come out of the drier.
But I have a few skirts and dresses that benefit from being ironed, and if we attend the opera or the theatre, Mr LW wears a suit and tie, so needs to iron a shirt to wear; but that's really all we bother with. I rarely use the tumble dry function on the washing machine, only if it's too wet to dry bedlinen outdoors.
Dusty's going home later this afternoon; we shall miss him! We had the grandmother of all thunderstorms last night, and he didn't turn a hair. Next guest arrives at lunchtime next Saturday. If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
Afternoon all
Back here after a bit of an absence. Life got in the way a bit.
I have just finished the ironing as I finally sorted out my summer clothes. Just the winter ones to put away now.
Mr G and DS are down at the allotment putting up the bean sticks We know how to live!
No baby sitting this week as it's half term. DGS was 4 last week. How time flies.
HH had to smile at the cows. I don't like to be too close to them. As a trainee teacher I has to help my class teacher to shoo a bunch of them out of the playground at a rural school. Bit of a shock for a city girl!
Well I may have a Grammie nap as I stil lhave'nt been sleeping well after the burglary in January.
Hugs and spoons to all.
