Boob Jobs!

I have been searching this site for information on cheap (or should I say "cost effective"?) boob jobs.
Has anyone got the latest info of where the best places to go are and what I can expect to pay? I am prepared to go anywhere if the price is right though I am on a limited budget.

The old adage you pay peanuts you get monkeys will come into it as it could end up messy.
Don't go somewhere that isn't accredited0 -
Im quite happy to fund you but I then get access rights in the contract to check they are maintained in a satisfactory condition up to 3 times a year.
That ok with you?0 -
Send me a pic and I might consider it...0

If you can't afford to get it done well, don't get it done.
This is a permanent change you're making to your body. You cannot take them back and get a refund.
You will hate scarred, deformed boobs much more than you will dislike what you have at the moment. How to find a dentist.
1. Get recommendations from friends/family/neighbours/etc.
2. Once you have a short-list, VISIT the practices - dont just phone. Go on the pretext of getting a Practice Leaflet.
3. Assess the helpfulness of the staff and the level of the facilities.
4. Only book initial appointment when you find a place you are happy with.0 -
Look up breast implant illness before you go ahead with the surgery. I am getting mine removed for this very reason.0

Thanks for the replies peeps but looking around this site I should have known I wouldn't get anywhere near the answer I was looking for. LOL
Now then, I did say in my opening post that I was looking for Value For Money. I'm not so stupid that I'm going to go to some back street butcher nor will I even consider going anywhere at all until they've been fully checked out. The sort of answer I was looking for was something like: "You should try Poland, they're a third of the price they are here." Or "How about Thailand? I had mine done there and it's the best 3K I ever spent..." etc.
I have heard stories about people who have paid 6.5K to have it done in the UK and they've been disfigured for life after going to a "reputable" place in Harley Street and at the same time I've heard of people who have gone to a clinic in the Phillipines and spent about £500 and have had the best boob job ever. Just because you pay a lot for your surgery doesn't neccesarily mean it's the best. My preferred option would be to have it done by a surgeon (privately) who works for the NHS because they'd be bound to do a good job but that avenue is closed.0 -
Why not ask your GP to refer you to a consultant privately?"You've been reading SOS when it's just your clock reading 5:05 "0

Why is it closed?
Thailand or even Poland is an awful long way to go for aftercare. Have you considered what you will do if it all goes pear shaped and you need revision surgery?0 -

Why are you wanting to get it done ?
Irs a public forum so unfortunately you cant control the replies you get, you don't have to respond to posts you dont agree with.0 -
I appreciate you've said the NHS avenue is 'closed' but there's some info on the NHS website:Where do I go?
If you're looking in England, check the Care Quality Commission (CQC) website for treatment centres that can perform the operation.
All independent clinics and hospitals that provide cosmetic surgery in England must be registered with the CQC. The CQC publishes inspection reports and performance ratings to help people choose care.
Also, research the surgeon who is going to fit your breast implants. All doctors must, as a minimum, be registered with the General Medical Council (GMC). Check the register to see the doctor's fitness to practise history.
You may also want to find out:- how many operations they've performed where there have been complications
- what sort of follow-up you should expect if things go wrong
- their own patient satisfaction rates

When I first read your post, I too thought it unlikely that you'd get 'anywhere near the answer you were looking for.Now then, I did say in my opening post that I was looking for Value For Money.
