Help please: Council tax band appeal refused

Hi all, appreciate your help with this if anyone has any advice or ideas. The paper shufflers at the valuation agency have ruled against my banding appeal - no doubt to protect the clown who made the mistake in the first place, and to add insult to injury they said they won't entertain any further correspondence unless I present new evidence.
I've shown them their figures are wrong, and they said houses close to me are in the same band - but gave the wrong post code for the street. also, these properties have just been completed, so no doubt these fools used my (incorrect) band to 'value' the new houses.
can I go above the heads of this lot who are only interested in covering their own butts, and show their false assumptions and school boy errors in justifying their stance to an independent 3rd party?
all advice appreciated.
regards,
Tony

HOW did you appeal?
Up here the procudure it you submit your evidence in writing, if you still can't agree, it goes before a panel where you (or your representative) get to stand up and present your case.to the panel, and the council tax valuer does the same and presents his case. Then the panel makes a decision.
Your evidence would include the houses they compared it against, and as many houses you can find locally that are similar in size and match the banding you beleive it should be.
Did you take it to the panel? If so you either did not present the case well, or the banding is indeed correct.0 -
Care to tell us what mistakes these 'clowns' have made? So we can see who actually is the clown here?0
-
You haven't explained well at all. Has it gone to tribunal and court ruled against you?0
-
If they have indeed made a factual mistake such an an incorrect postcode, then that would indeed be new evidence so you could appeal on the basis they had the wrong address.
However, on the website http://cti.voa.gov.uk/cti/inits.asp that I guess you've been on to ascertain your band and that of your neighbours, each property has a unique local authority reference number so it's unlikely they got the wrong house even with a postcode typo.0 -

I have appealed my council tax banding. This was rejected by council and VOA despite evidence. In December 2018 I appealed providing further evidence. House opposite exact same blueprint and in lower council tax banding, as well as several properties within a few hundred yards exact same blueprint and again in lower banding. I've scanned and sent with my appeal all purchase prices (nearest to 1991 I could find), all house details including floorplans and photos.
I received my response back saying that my appeal has been rejected and that I have no further right to appeal. They have said that because no one else has queried it that the banding has been accepted? They also say that the house prices were above £40k in 1991 and therefore are in the correct band (B). I have sent evidence that my property was purchased in 1998 and was still under £40k and have sent proof of neighbouring properties being the same. I think I would get more common sense from the brick wall I am currently banging my head against! Any advice anyone?
I am considering writing a letter to the neighbouring properties to see if they are interested in challenging their band. Not sure what else I can do!

Tony hasnt been been back since his outburst nearly a year ago so I guess the pain was too much.
Same question applies though, have you been to the Valuation Tribunal ?0 -
The VOA should have actual details of 1991 sales, so if they claim the value of the property was in excess of £40K, they may well have evidence to support that claim
Following the property crash of 1988/89 house prices fell for several years, then started to increase around 1996/7. But 1998 prices in some areas and some house types were still below those of 1991.
You can only make a valid appeal and thus have a Valuation Tribunal hearing if you appealed your CT band within 6 months of becoming the CT payer. If you are querying your Council Tax band would you please state whether you are in England, Scotland or Wales0
