Try WH Smiths or similar and buy a plastic zip topped see through pouch. They come in A5, A4 and A3 paper sizes so should be big enough for what you require. My second favorite household chore is ironing. Many retailers are now selling these bags labelled as security bags costing approx £3.
For exactly the same bag at far less cost go to a supermarket/Wilko and buy resealable sandwich bags which cost about 50p a box. There is absolutely no difference in these to those priced for the flight market.
You may carry one bag only ! Not hand luggage and a handbag ! Your clear resealable bag and it's contents (remember NO containers over 100ml) must be taken out of your hand luggage for closer inspection when passing through the security point.0 -

If you`re flying from Stansted
they`re FREE0 -
Security at Heathrow and Gatwick give them out for free (there's usually someone hanging around the entrance to the security queueing area), I would have thought that the same would be true for any BAA airport.0

Recently we flew from East Midlands to Dublin. At EMA there were slot machines dispensing the bags for, I think, 50p for two. At Dublin there was a woman giving them out for free as you approached security. That's rip-off Britain for you, I guess.
As for handbags, MrsS takes a small hanbag and puts it into her hand luggage to go through security. Then takes it out as soon as we are through. No-one ever objects to this.0 -
If you want to sort out the clear plastic resealable bags before you can go you can get ziplock or similar from most supermarkets as well as Poundland and the like. You get between 20 and 80 in a box depending on the size you want. for a £1 or less
For hand baggage you can carry a single clear plastic resealable bag that is no bigger than 20 cm x 20 cm (8" x 8") and you must be able to seal it when all your liquids/gels are inside. It must then fit inside your hand baggage, it cannot be carried separately. The liquids/gels must be in containers that have a capacity of no more than 100 ml. That is the container's size, not the quantity of liquid (or gel) actually in it.
Remember that this applies only to liquids in hand baggage to be taken through security. You can buy as much duty free or other liquids as you want when through security assuming you can carry it and your airline permits.
Also the liquid rule does not apply to anything in your checked (in the hold) baggage. As long as it's not a prohibited item you can take as much as you want subject to your weight limits or paying excess baggage charges.0 -
