I thought that I had a problem with my battery on my PCworld HP Pavilion laptop.
PCworld battery suppliers told me to take battery out to get the model number.
Was quoted £90 for a new battery.
Put the battery back in and hey presto, it is now working perfectly. Don't know if was not connected properly, whether by the removing the battery it has cleared some dust, etc.
Who cares when it is now working and saved me £90.
Praise for PCworld and HP.

I!!!8217;m not really sure either of them have done anything praiseworthy here.
I rolled the batteries in my remote recently to get some life out of them. Praise for Duracell and my dad?0 -

There was nothing wrong with the battery it had clearly just became dusty or disconnected. They were simply getting your model number. Neither of them did anything to help you...
Who cares when I have not paid £90 ?0 -

Still working so must be fixed.
Just priceless.:D0 -
You surely don't have to be told that if you suspect a battery problem in any piece of equipment is that the first thing to try is to take it out and put it in again? It's the battery equivalent of turn it off and on again.0

It is still working.
Just wonderful and what joy in not paying £90.0 -
Have you thought of claiming some compensation for the stress and inconvenience of your laptop not functioning fully?:p
Or is that only TSB?0 -
