I have got a similar question.
Soon to go Part time at work, currently claiming Child tax credit only
4 kids under all under 16
me working 26 hours a week
earning roughly gross annual £14808
wife not working
What would we get and also are we above the threshold for household income so they cant force my wife to look for work?0 -
could look at the entitledto.co.uk calculator for the answer, I tried it and it worked for me0

We rent the house. We don't claim housing or council tax benefit. I doubt we are entitled to it, but I always find it more hassle than it's worth so don't mind.

If you are on tax credits, when you move onto UC, I would advise that you add on your housing rent and get it verified. It then gets included as an element to your claim and when your earnings are considered, you might then receive some payment. The comments I post are personal opinion. Always refer to official information sources before relying on internet forums. If you have a problem with any organisation, enter into their official complaints process at the earliest opportunity, as sometimes complaints have to be started within a certain time frame.0 -
On out award it just says child tax credit award and then working tax is £0.00. I would imagine if income declined we would be entitled to the working element.
Have read through all literature and still can't work it out. It seems as a couple I bring enough in for the AET. But then talks about claimant commitment. So I guess will just need to see what happens in time. As I cannot understand it and no one I've spoken to does either !
Yes, your WTC is zero so you don't receive it, but are entitled to it and you are getting the WTC elements included in your award.
