Those of us old enough to remember the days when TM was being touted as the answer to the world's ills (if enough people were able to levitate simultaneously there would be a serious outbreak of World Peace) might feel that TM is old age bunkum, but hey ho ...After years of disappointment with get-rich-quick schemes, I know I'm gonna get rich with this scheme...and quick! - Homer Simpson0

Well, if you are miserable because your room is dark then they may help, and if you are low on salt then licking them could be of benefit, but other than that, no.
Lol yes that is why I said 'apparent', as it isn't scientifically proven - I do think some people get benefits from them even if it is Placebo effect - whatever gets each through the night and not causing any harm
Either way having something that a person finds aesthetically pleasing can be uplifting, like a bunch of flowers on the sideThe opposite of what you know...is also true0 -
There are a few groups and pages on Facebook that talk about crystals, so suggest you join one of the groups with like minded people.
I think it's lovely you want to try and be a more positive and calmer person, I think the world needs more of that right now!0 -

It’s funny how they tout the benefits of the rare minerals in the Himalayan salts, which the very same people will be warning you about and suggesting chelation when they are given their actual scientific names.
But having a pretty lamp won’t do any harm.0 -
I'm generally a fairly calm, non-confrontational and easygoing person, but it's honestly never occurred to me that crystals would be any help at all in those situations where I'm likely to swear.
The prices some of these places charge for a lump of rock would give anyone raised blood pressure.A kind word lasts a minute, a skelped erse is sair for a day.0 -

I personally think crystals are a load of cods wallop but if you want a good meditation app, why not give Calm a try.0

Where the Yogi's folk do get a bit wacky is with the "yogic flying", which seems to involve using your thighs to jump up and down on soft mattresses ("levitating" as in being aloft for a microsecond during a jump). Yogic flying is not something you learn when you do TM, it is for the "advanced" pupil (which I would equate to "most gullible"). They didn't talk much about that because it was (IMO) rather hilarious.
There was also the Natural Law Party which advocated getting groups of people to meditate and "calm" areas. We are definitely straying into the realm of bunkum with that and yogic flying, but meditation (as practiced by the TM method or others) does have some benefits.0
