Crystals won't do anything to help your state of mind, they are just inanimate lumps. Salt is a crystal!

You'd be better off going to your GP and asking about what anger management or other talking therapies to help you manage your behaviour are available in your area.

100% agree with the above post.

Do you drink coffee? I find that drinking a few cups of coffee causes me to be angry and short tempered.

I watch meditation and hypnosis videos on youtube, just put meditation or hypnosis in the search and see what comes up that you like. You can fall asleep to them at night.

I learned transcendental meditation many years ago. I don't think meditation will help with anger issues, but it can help lower stress levels and help you feel more relaxed. I find it very helpful and relaxing, and there's quite a lot of positive scientific evidence supporting the benefits of meditation.

You can be trained in techniques like TM but they do charge a lot (and the technique isn't really that complex). But I find it helped having someone teach me the technique. Alternatively there is a lot of information available for free on the internet about various techniques so you could try it yourself.

Crystals are just new age bunkum.

But like others said, if your issue is anger management, you are best seeking some professional advice and help for that.

I lose my temper (like the next person) and so am trying to not get frustrated with fellow road users, not to fly off the handle when something falls out of the cupboard and to embrace some crystals to make me be a more positive person.
You shouldn't fly off the handle when something falls out of the cupboard, that speaks to severe anger problems and not at all "like the next person".

I'd be permanently on eggshells in your presence and suggest you seek therapy, not crystals. I know some people that practice meditation but that's to help them with stress, not anger.

I have to say I don't believe meditation is the full answer BUT it can be part of your solution.

I would suggest counselling for you to work out what makes you react to situations and to learn how to respond appropriately.

I was married to a really angry man for many years and his confrontational attitude was very difficult to be around and it had an impact on me and I became more angry and ready for an argument as a way of handling him.

I am 9 years away from him and my life is beautifully calm and peaceful - my natural zen has returned.

I share this as I truly understand the impact of peer group and who we hang around with can have on our lives - for good and bad. You may want to step back from your blow ups and try to ascertain what triggered it (is it an escalation of little events which my ex-H used to make happen) but importantly you must believe you have the opportunity for a calmer different outcome if you respond in a different way.

Seeing your GP may also be a good start - anger is a sign of covert depression.

Those of us old enough to remember the days when TM was being touted as the answer to the world's ills (if enough people were able to levitate simultaneously there would be a serious outbreak of World Peace) might feel that TM is old age bunkum, but hey ho ...

Exactly apparent, not proven in any way. Some of the Himalayan salt lamps look quite pretty don't get me wrong but there is no scientically or medically backed evidence of them making any difference, other than I guess a placebo effect, which in itself can be a good thing.

    No they don’t.

Well, if you are miserable because your room is dark then they may help, and if you are low on salt then licking them could be of benefit, but other than that, no.
