I hit a car, I know I know lecture if you want. And now they've contacted my insurance company and I don't want to pay through my insurance. Can't I just pay myself? Otherwise I'll lose my no claims and lose my car.

I think by law you have to tell your insurance... but don't think it's your choice as it's the other person claiming on your insurance and not you.

  • For once I'm actually feeling positive! Apart from the lady pains that is. You know how peoples cycles sync when they live or work together, do you think that's happening here? lol

Been on the phone most of the morning sorting out things I've been ignoring for a while - Gemmzie, I'm with you on the car insurance thing, I've just had to give my details to the insurance co for when I scraped someones car in a car park, d'oh! That and fibbing to the catalogue that I never receved a statement so they'd remove the £12 charges for late payment (they have!) and calling a debt collection agency to try and sort out why they're chasing me for payment i don't owe!

Am gonna get showered in a bit and go off to buy something nice (and cheap!) to wear tonight, otherwise I ain't going out! I've been off work this week so got a few things sorted out and feel a bit clearer on what I'm trying to do!

Well mine have a mind of their own so unless everyone else gets 6 weeks between them like me I'd be very surpised!:rotfl:

  • I'm sure you have to tell your insurance really, but in reality plenty of people just sort it themselves and don't go through the insurance.

BUT if they have already contacted your insurance then you don't have a choice unfortunately. what a pain!

  • Little Pickle,
    Thanks for that-made me giggle.
I'm not having a poo day, and am obviously out of sync with you all-but then, I did have my monthly Aunt flo visit a week early...it's all over the shop.
I'm feeling ok today, sorry everyone...
