maybe it is a collective "time of the month"

(I mean financially, I'm not excluding men here, you can feel carp too)

OH's new salary is about £200 (£214.29 actually :o ) less than we thought it would be.
Could be the exchange rate......could be an error......could be something else we haven't thought of. But we've had to lay out so much up front to get him there every penny makes a difference......

Morning all. I'm still feeling crappy too, don't know what's up with us all. I just feel UGH. I should be feeling great, the Hoosiers album will be number 1 this week, debut album, released on monday and sold double of what the number 2 has sold. How fantastic is that! But then the guys from Grace (a band I have a real soft spot for) have been dropped from the record label this week and I'm gutted for them. I always tell people though, getting signed is easy, staying signed is the tricky bit.

Anyway, enough of my boring waffle, I started a new business last week because I was bored  and that looks promising, to be honest it doesn't matter if it works or not, there's no investment involved other than the couple of hundred quid start up (which is tax deductable anyway). I just wish I had the drive to do something other than sit here sighing. Hope this is just a dose of pms.

Dodgy hugs to everyone else who has the october pooy blues.

You started a new business 'because you were bored'????? Only you!! lol!

Feeling a bit s*&% at the moment and worrying about money. Feel like spending has been in freefall since we decided to move back into our house and I can't see our debt reducing by much at the moment as we need to find £3000 to pay for school fees by end of December and the same again by end of March and then we have our extravagent holiday to pay for by mid-end April_pale_ . Just want to curl up, not open the bank statements or look online and bury my head in the sand again. Unfortunately it's not an option:(
    Maccas,

Not much I can say to this; though my mother and late grandmother swore by the power of a lovely cup of tea or coffee to help make the world feel better - so here's one!:coffee:

That's an awful lot to pay in school fees:eek:

I still don't know what to suggest so I'll say - I hope it gets a little bit easier for you.

I hate the dark mornings, I forgot to set my alarm and when I was woken up I thought it was still night time :o

What are you going to go as? I love fancy dress, but never know what to dress up in.

I have no idea at this moment. I'm going to this fabric / pattern shop so I'll buy the "easiest" pattern and cheapest material combination. Then I'll go visit my mum and turn the waterworks on until she agrees to help me put the thing together! I have quite an arsenal of emotional blackmail weapons and dammit this is an emergency. Only thing I can say for certain is I WILL NOT GO AS A PUMPKIN!!! If I went as a black cat, I'd be a fat black cat - not a good look in the photographs but I'd only need to buy some black leggins, black face-paint (for the nose and whiskers), some cat ears and a tail!!!

    I'll keep you posted!

Cup of coffee taken, ahhhhhhh that feels better.

School fees are for 3 kids the older 2 are 'only' £500 each but the younger one is the most expensive and it includes pre and afterschool care and holiday care as well as school fees on a termly basis. I have worked out that we need to save £1700 every month until end of April to meet school and holiday payments. It IS doable thanks to all the debtbusting we have been doing but it means the remaining debt will be paid off in dribs and drabs. Oh well, it's our choices that have led to this so I shouldn't complain.
