Ive actually now managed to get a record of the £10 transaction by logging into the payment processors site at https://customer.boku.com/login
have uploaded this here
https://imgur.com/a/Z8cpCP2
The record shows the first successful £10 payment followed by a second failed payment where he tried to get another £10 off me by trying to do a second £10 topup - at the time i just assumed he had tried twice by accident
So if he does refer it to ebay I will at least have this evidence i can show them - I have also told him about this in a message0 -

Your problem is that no one at ebay reads the messages, it is done by a bot, and as the buyer has claimed INR (which is why I needed to check) that's all they will 'judge' the outcome on. No online trackable proof of delivery to the postal address given on ebay means you cannot win if this is escalated. A defect for losing the case is a bad one, it can affect your account and whilst one won't get you restricted or suspended it might be enough to force you below standard which can be an issue. I assume as you are selling codes you are a business, so below standard would see you pay an additional 4% FVFs as penalty on all your sales. Losing the case will also cost you your FVFs on that sale as well.
Your only hope, and staying mindful of the deadline for escalation, is to persuade ebay to close the case *before* it is escalated on the basis that there is no buyer protection on intangible goods, this might be an uphill struggle.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Go through their help section and choose random options until you get a number to call and a PIN, that's free and the pin makes it easier.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. I phoned ebay & apparently they are going to close the case in my favour
- havent seen it yet though as I think it takes time to come through
Im guessing that possibly they will refund the buyer too so he doesnt try to dispute the outcome
edit : interestingly they are not refunding the buyer - message about case closure
We reviewed this request and have closed it without any refund to the buyer.
The case will not affect your seller performance. Any Feedback left for this transaction will be removed.
We reviewed your communications with the buyer for this transaction and see that the buyer confirmed that they received the item.
So looks like by saying the money 'disappeared' from his account then ebay consider that as proof of receipt0 -
I think eBay closed the case in your favour as MBG does not cover digital items. However, that does not prevent the buyer from trying again on Paypal... (I had a similar awful experience before).Inigo_Montoya wrote: »So looks like by saying the money 'disappeared' from his account then ebay consider that as proof of receipt0 -

seller hes scamming this time may post here for advice
she sold him a £75 next gift card, she sent the code to use it in an ebay message, he used it immediately then claimed it didnt work
EDIT : seller has just told me ebay have also closed the case in their favour - he claimed item not received again & it looks like ebay could see that she gave him the digital code in an ebay message0 -
You could well have his actual address as he has some brought some physical goods from nutrafit in the last month. If so, he's an idiot.Warning: any unnecessary disclaimers appearing under my posts do not bear any connection with reality, either intended, accidental or otherwise.
