Incorrectly put on a K code due to a system error

I was checking my personal tax account as I do every month and noticed my tax code had changed to K417X and that my personal allowance was down to -£4170.
Straight away I called Inland Revenue to see what the problem was and I was told they had an issue on there system that wasn’t updating the co2 levels on company on new cars correctly. Back in Feb I changed my car to a low emission Electric vehicle which I had changed on their system the day I received the car and it showed correctly the following month.
I was told on the phone told me the system had an error and it was now showing my P11D value of my car changing from what it should have been around £6000 to over £13000. She fixed the problem which has now put my back on a positive code, however due to the timing of our payroll run I will be on a K code this and will have an additional £900+ taken from my salary this month which I totally can’t afford. Is there anything I can do, she said that it will level out of time, but that doesn’t help me this month as after I pay all my bills I have around £600 to live on.
I can’t borrow the money as I’m not sure when I’ll get the £900 back from the tax man, I’m thinking next year in a rebate. Surely this is unfair as it’s a system error.

As long as you have been given a standard cumulative tax code you will get the money back next month. Your employer may be able to give you an advance if they know the situation.0
-
Have they issued a revised notice of coding? If so, and your tax code is cumulative, then you will receive the refund via your pay next month.0

They have issued me with a code now which is 309L. Would that be correct?0
-
Have you had a new coding notice? That would explain how they've arrived at 309L0
