for over a month now (6 weeks probably) I have been trying to switch from Iresa when my fixed period ended, they have blocked it on over 5 occasions. I think but not sure my gas has been moved but they still show this as well
they constantly claim my account is o/d but I have arranged and they collected very quickly an additional DD of £106 on top of the monthly DD to put the account/s into credit they however don't show these records and will not apply them to my accounts. they are just screwing me for their higher tariff and making switching impossible. I have registered 2 formal complaints but they don't even acknowledge or respond to these and I just cant get a solution.
offgen is my next port of call but any guidance or help appreciated.
I went iris as it was top on the energy saving club at the time but appreciate now over a year later they're not included and can see why. meanwhile I just haemorrhage money on DD's to 2 energy companies

Try giving them a ring on their freephone number - 08004337812. In my experience they don't reply to formal complaints, support tickets or emails but they are much more efficient now at sorting problems out over the phone.

Thankyou Blackdog, it worked a treat, magically I now have a tar date, some 1 month after they bumped me up a tariff and the missing DD collected from me on 16/5 has been applied to my account on 23/5, whilst I wouldn't use this company again if anyone is, please use the telephone number for all issues not their paltry messaging service

Be aware that if you have always paid by DD they CANNOT block your switch on the grounds of debt because you don't have a debt you have a debit balance which is completely different.

A debt is when you have been issued a demand for payment (bill) and that has not be paid with 28 days.

I agree but, sadly, some suppliers are not following Ofgem's guidelines re debt and 28 days.
