  • Booked my trip to Berlin in December aswell today.

£296 which includes flights, hotel, seats on the plane and 15kg luggage. I think it's shocking you have to pay for seats and a bag but that's just me.

Going for 4 nights and I am sooooooooooo excited to go to the Christmas markets!!

    Eeeeeeeeek.

Berlin. Fantastic city. Been there twice in the last two years but not to the Christmas market. Sounds fabulous. Enjoy.

Berlin is gorgeous Dolly! Hope you enjoy when it comes! We were there in February time, 8 years ago and just loved it. Great city.

Love to read about peoples travel plans - you're definitely living life to the fullest and have some great plans in place for paying for them too.

  • Thank you both!

Really can't wait to get a proper plan in place.

All I know right now is that I cannot wait to go to Gendarmenmarkt Christmas markets, they look magical!

Worked out the full plans for Rome yesterday, I want to squeeze in as much as possible so my Mum gets the best experience when she is there.

  • I love Rome so much, I could just keep going back forever.

    So plans are as follows;

    Day 1
Arrive at around 5pm, check in to B&B which is located on Piazza Navona, unpack a bit then have a wander around Piazza Navona, The Pantheon and then head out for dinner and some drinks.

    Day 2
Colosseum tour with arena access then the roman forum and palatine hill, after this we will head back to Piazza Venezia. There is good shopping not to far from there so will have a wander around then head to the Trevi fountain, The Pantheon (again) then find somewhere for dinner and drinks.

    Day 3
Castel Sant Angelo in the morning then a Vatican tour in the afternoon. Not much else planned we can just wander around and eat gelato!

    Day 4
Spanish Steps then the Borghese museum and gardens. Again not much else planned can just wander around and enjoy Rome.

    Day 5
Travelling home so not much going on can maybe spend some time in the morning in Piazza Navona.
