  • Sniff, sniff, sneeze.

    I've got the cold again, or maybe it could be hayfever?!?!

    Might try some hayfever tablets to see if that helps.

    In work until 8pm again.

    Have a meeting at 12pm then heading to the Post Office to finally send my passport away for renewal.

    Been having holiday nightmares about getting knocked back at the airport cos I have the wrong name on my booking!

    Got the money to pay for it in a separate account (thank you ex) so won't be costing me a penny.

    Can' believe the amount of paperwork I need to send;

    * New passport form
    * 2 new photos (still got a fat passport photo)
    * Birth certificate (hunted the house till 11.30pm last night to find this)
    * Marriage certificate (yuck)
    * Divorce papers (yay)
    * Driving licence

    What the heck! It's ridiculous so it is.

    Anyway hoping it's all filled in properly so it can go today, can't be dealing with this passport stress for much longer :rotfl:

    I would change your name on the booking now.
    Do you need to send all the paperwork as you are going back to your maiden name?

  • So went to the Post Office and they said my PP form won't be accepted. My countersignature didn't fill out the form with a biro pen.

    Will get her to sign it again tomorrow evening then back to the Post Office on Friday.

  • Morning,

    So going to fill out my PP form again today in work then will head to my friends to get her to fill it in again.

    Will be at the post office for about 9.30am tomorrow to get that sent off, will be just under 8 weeks to go for my holiday by then so plenty of time.

  • Heyyyy,

    So update since last visit. Passport form was sent away just before the bank holiday so hopefully 3-4 weeks and it will arrive.

    I've decided in the last few days that I am going to take my Mum to Rome in December as a thank you/Christmas/65th birthday gift all rolled in to one.

    This means that I will be saving my £200 a month in to my H2B ISA but not much more until January 2020 but do you know what I would much rather have that experience with my Mum than the money sitting in the bank.

    Plan is in place to get it all paid for with nothing at all going on a CC.

    £1,131 - Goal

    £531 - Holiday cost - PIF
    £600 - Spendies - PIF

    Girly trip, they want to book some tours but I am trying to hold off right now. Don't want to spend anymore than I have budgeted.

    Also hoping I might have some left over to add to my Disneyland fund.

    Disneyland Paris- September 2019
    £2,000 - Goal

    £400 - 01.05.19 - Paid
    £400 - 01.06.19
    £400 - 01.07.19
    £400 - 01.08.19
    £400 - 01.09.19

    My flights and accommodation are being paid for me, this is a massive budget for spendies but want to be able to do some experiences when we are there and also want the kids to be able to buy what they want.

    Anything I have left over can be added to the Rome fund.

    Rome - December 2019
    £2,000 - Goal

    £276 - Hotel on Piazza Navona (love it here)
    £345 - Flights with Jet2
    £110 - Transfers

    £1000 - Spendies

    This is a trip to say a massive thank you to my Mum for literally saving me last year. Its going to be her Christmas and also her 65th which is in January. She will not be spending a penny so I want to spoil that woman cos she deserves it.

    Berlin - December 2019

    Trip with girl from work to go to the Christmas markets!

    What a really lovely thing to do for your mum.
    Where would we be without our mums.
