Opinions/Experiences w. 3's Feel At Home?

Hiya folks,
Going out to NY for the entirety of next month and saw 3 is doing incredibly cheap £10 monthly SIM contracts with 1gig of data and free international roaming. This completely blows ANY monthly american SIM contract out of the water.
No doubt the coverage is completely nonexistent at this pricepoint, as I've heard from a few others, but I figured I would try to get a consensus on the feature's usefulness - have any of you used it? What for, where, and how well did it work?

I've used it over there a few times, in NYC, Chicago and LA. It works fine unless you use it a lot. I had to rearrange a return trip due to an illness and after about 2 hours on the phone constantly I was cut off for four hours.
Other than that, call and data worked even in the middle of NYC. But the data was fairly slow and I doubt you'd be able to stream with on it.0 -
Just a thought but as your out there for a month is the sim enough for the whole period ?0

@Jon
Thanks v much. What a bummer. I generally want to use it for spotify/snapchat/pokemon go lol.

Hiya. Yeah I think so, I usually go through about a gig of data every month on my UK contract, and the Three contracts appear to be for a month each to my knowledge.
Would love to hear from more experiences from anyone lurking this thread! :dance:0 -
I've used 3 at home in NYC and Florida. No issues on each occasion. Every user experience will differ. I was shocked at how much data I used in NYC in 5 days (nearly 10GB) but was taking photos, maps, FaceTime etc.'Just because its on the internet don't believe it 100%'. Abraham Lincoln.
I have opinions, you have opinions. All of our opinions are valid whether they are based on fact or feeling. Respect other peoples opinions, stop forcing your opinions on other people and the world will be a happier place.0
