UPDATE - Received this from POPLA today:
Parking Eye Ltd have told us they do not wish to contest the Appeal. This means that your Appeal is successful and you do not need to pay the parking charge.

What a bunch of crooks. They do not wish to contest the appeal, but when you appealed to them directly, they rejected it out of hand.0

Hooray! :T
Now finish your complaint to the Hotel telling them you will be putting this harassment in the public domain on Facebook and TripAdvisor, and telling people how the Hotel point blank refused to help you, despite people picking guests up outside never having the opportunity to see the keypad that is hidden inside!
And how about a SAR to ParkingEye, and telling the DVLA that you refuse for them to send your data to any private parking firm again, without first involving manual/human intervention and writing to tell you who has requested your data and why/regarding which location/date. Giving you the chance to object...as discussed here:

We doubt the DVLA will play ball but people should bombard them with this, and bombard all PPCs with SAR bombs (and do not let Pe have your insurance document...see today's posts on that thread).PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
