HELP Gladstone Solicitors CPS debt

Hi
The driver received the ticket/ invoice in October after trying to pay on Ringo and not getting through. The driver left the car and went into town. Once the driver finally got through and paid for the parking. On returning to the car a ticket had been issued in the time between leaving the vehicle and getting through to ringo.
The driver has read lots on here and on advice ignored the numerous letters from the CPS acting on behalf of Hereford Corporate parking services.
Today the owner has had a letter from Gladstone Solictors who are acting on behalf of Corporate services, saying the driver needs to pay £160 'thereby avoiding the consideration of any future court action and any increase in the amount claimed'. The driver knows that these are still may or could or might type words but there is so much about Gladstones doing this and then sending the court paper or a notification of court papers next. Having stayed strong, the prospect of court seems to be a real possibility of it happening now.
The driver also needs to inform them of a change of address as this has gone to the old address
Many thanks for any help.
And yes I have read the newbies thread numerous times but I am still unsure.

Not a single bit of advice on here says to ignore parking charges for people in england and Wales.
The newbies thread also tells you, in no uncertain terms, that yoU DO NOT identify the driver. So get editing, now.0 -
Does the "Gladstones" letter tell you to pay DR Plus? This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0

Whilst you are reading the NEWBIES thread and editing ....
Hereford Corporate parking services is not one that crops
up often on here and as their website states they are
a BPA member, one wonders why they are getting involved with
the infamous Gladstones Solicitors
Does the Gladstones letter ask you to pay them direct
or CPS ??? or another company ??
We ask this because Gladstones allow their letterhead
to be pimped out to scammers
Assume you still have the Ringo receipt from your card
payment to them ??
In the meantime, so you can see who you are dealing
with, read all about the incompetent Gladstones

There is a possibility of a court claim but it's a life experience and the vast majority of people do win here, with NO legal experience.THE DRIVER received the ticket/ invoice in October after trying to pay on Ringo and not getting through THE DRIVER left the car and went into town. THE DRIVER finally got through and paid for THE DRIVER'S parking. On returning to THE car THE DRIVER saw that THE DRIVER had been issued with a ticket in the time THE DRIVER had left the car and had been trying to get through.
I can see you have a defence (above) but I've edited - please edit your post to match!PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

The letter says to pay debt recovery plus.
There was lots about corporate services and online and the newbies thread seemed to suggest to ignore so I have: Wrongly clearly.
So what are the options now?
A new phone upgrade means the driver does not have the ringo text message but assume it will show on bank statement.0 -
Then it is a debt collector's letter and you are right to ignore it.sunsandandsea wrote: »The letter says to pay debt recovery plus.

Wow! I didn't know that when upgrading phones you lost all previous text messages. Learn something new every day.sunsandandsea wrote: »A new phone upgrade means the driver does not have the ringo text message but assume it will show on bank statement.0 -
OK so keep ignoring the letters from DRP or gladstone solicitors?
I will update my address with DRP so the letters come to my address and just wait it out then...
Some messages saved and some deleted. Very frustrating!
If this turns into a court summons one shall I write back on here?
Thanks0 -
Post #4 of the NEWBIES FAQ sticky thread gives comprehensive guidance on how to deal with debt collector's letters.sunsandandsea wrote: »OK so keep ignoring the letters from DRP or gladstone solicitors?
You must make sure that Hereford Corporate parking services know your current address.sunsandandsea wrote: »I will update my address with DRP so the letters come to my address and just wait it out then...
No need to tell DRP that.
Yes, post back on this thread if ever you receive a Letter Before Claim or official court correspondence. Although post #2 of the NEWBIES thread will guide you then.sunsandandsea wrote: »If this turns into a court summons one shall I write back on here?0
