Far worse than Black Friday here.

Ooh, hang on... Won't Black Friday be much quieter?

I've ignored tons of them, love how some have offered discounts, competitions, etc so they can keep sending them.
BTW, the best one has been from Fortum & Mason. Sign up to that one, just for the click box to put in your title.
'Commodore Dontone' had a nice ring to it :rotfl: (other titles like Viscount, Lady, Sir, Lord, Rev. were available) :rotfl:

I am now getting messages saying..

..No Action required unless you want to unsubcribe

I thought the whole point of this was asking people to sign up if they wanted the companies information, they can't possibly sign us up so we have to unsubscribe rather than them remove us.

I have turned the sound off my computer as all I can hear is click click click as they keep pouring into my email box :(

I haven't been counting them, but I'm sure it must be over 1000 today, with all but 3 or 4 ignored.

There was a bit about this on BBC News channel earlier talking to a legal expert who claimed that most of the emails being sent aren't necessary anyway!! For new subscribers firms need to record evidence of where people gave consent but there's a get-out for existing subscribers, so they don't need to ask for explicit permission to continue (not that I'm complaining!)

Probably going for the 'we don't want to give you the opportunity to have to make a choice by re-subscribing, so we'll leave it to you to remember to unsubscribe and know you probably won't.' :D

Looks like a quiet Friday hopefully!
