If you have a P45 it is likely that your ESA has stopped.

    Was it income-based or contribution-based?

Because you will be moving from the ESA support group onto UC, you should receive the LCWRA element of £319pm in addition to the basic UC allowance of £319.
You should be fast tracked into the LCWRA group.

    Some info here:

I gather that sometimes this doesn't always happen automatically, so do check that you are receiving the correct amount.

Then it will stop when the UC claim was made.

Also be aware that any disability premiums you were receiving on ESA will not be paid with UC.

It sounds as though the process is progressing as it's supposed to (just a bit opaquely!)

I transferred from a credits only ESA claim to UC last month. Same happened, multiple ESA letters and a p45 a couple of weeks after starting the UC claim, including 'your ESA has been stopped you must now claim UC' and then a few days later I was put in the UC equivalent of support group and it's been quiet since then and all fine.

Wouldn't they just give me the premiums if they have chosen to put me in the support group on UC ? I'm also in receipt of dla

it's different, the severe disability premium doesn't exist in UC. If in support group you get the standard rate which is i think about £319 if single, the support group payment which is about the same again and then housing amount if entitled to it (plus other bits if not single or have children)

What DLA award do you get? Do you get Middle (or high) rate Care?

What premiums did you get with your ESA?

As w06 says the premiums are not paid with UC. If you were receiving the £62pw SDP (if you lived alone and got Middle (or high) rate Care), I'm sorry to say that you will find the amount of UC you receive will be less than ESA.

UC for a single person in the LCWRA group will be around £147pw (paid monthly), plus any housing element if entitled to it (plus other bits if not single or have children)
