Vehicle idling on drive

  • It's not even idling.....It's just starting it up and he's on me straight away.

Its also anti social to block my driveway but he seems more than happy to do that....?

Stop worrying about him. If he wants to block your garage then tough luck he will have to put up with it.

So to answer his question about it being his fault.... yes it is. Don't pander to him. Tell him he either puts up with it and shuts up or he stops blocking your garage and you'll start it up in there. Two choices no negotiation.

And if he blocks the garage whilst the vehicle is in there I think that's an offense. Something like prohibiting access to a public highway

It is rather antisocial to leave a diesel idling near to any property. Any diesel is pretty noisy - I was woken by a neighbour who left their Audi A3 diesel idling in the street at 6.30am on a Sunday morning and they live about three doors away.
    Get better double glazing.
