Cica - No reponse for my application for a review after police wrong statement

Hi all,

I've been assaulted in 2015 in my working areas and when I made a complaint my offenders made several threats and attempts of intimidation that made me leave the country for about a 18 months. During these 18 months I was sick overseas.

I made a claim to Cica 6 months ago but my claim has been wrongly denied by Cica due wrong statement provided by a police officer : this last stated that I did not wanted to make a compalint against my offenders, etc...I also send in my application for a review to Cica three months ago prints of my emails with these officers which clearly prove my full cooperation.

However, until today (more than three months after I sent my application for a review), I still don't have received any response from Cica.

Any suggestion/ advice or share of experience with this kind of issues is welcome.

Thanks in advance.

I am afraid you have posted in a forum about savings and investments so are unlikely to get much response to your query here

I agree with MallyGirl that it's unlikely you'll find much specific relevant expertise on a savings forum but a quick web search leads to https://www.gov.uk/government/organisations/criminal-injuries-compensation-authority/about/complaints-procedure so it may be worth raising a complaint if you haven't already?

That page links to the code of practice that explains how the process(es) should work, so if your case isn't being dealt with in accordance with this code then it should cover what to do next....

I am a little bit confused as I made a search in the forum before posting.

I found threads similar to my present one like this .

Let hope they will responde fairly since presently they 'trend' seems to be the 'silence mode'.

And if you'd read that thread through, you'd have noticed that the replies there also suggested that it was posted in the wrong place and didn't belong in the Savings and Investment thread, the same as this one.

I just read the thread and the first post. I made my complaint to Cica last monday as advised by eskbanker. I will also try to find a legal forum.
