Argos refund never arrived. Whats the next step?

I don't think refunds need to take as long as we're led to believe.
I ordered an item, paying with my Halifax credit card, on Sunday 27th May.
Unfortunately the item was the last they had in stock and before dispatch they discovered it was damaged.
A refund was made to my credit card on Monday 28th May (a holiday) and hit my account the following day.
All the guff about refunds taking 5 working days is to with internal processes within the retailer.
I agree, I think Argos were just messing about0 -
I've had the same problem with Argos and a failed delivery and I had to get my credit card company to get the money back for me0
