Smart meters are generally not compatible between suppliers but ordinary non smart meters are. I believe some PAYG meters are not fully supported but this is usually between smaller suppliers, not the "big 6".0

Oh I see, they didn’t state they had a smart reader already, maybe this was the issue. She just has a normal meter so should be ok then hopefully. It’s hard enough getting her to switch as it is with the potential problems cropping up. Thanks for the advice0

Hi wanting to switch to EDF from BG/EON but read on another forum that the BG metre wasn!!!8217;t compatible with EDF. Has anyone had this issue was it resolved, if so how? Mum doesn!!!8217;t want a smart metre TIA
