HELP! Dog hair problem
Comments
-
I have a bermese mountain dogX and suffer the same problem, i spend hours removing hair from around the house, not to mention the amount of ££ spent on dry cleaning my partners suits/shirts due to dog hair
.. i find using the "slicker" brush on the carpet removes alot of hair and its much faster than the hoover. Iv often thought about giving him a "buzz cut" all over put my partner says "its to cold"

Wow I never thought of using a slicker on the carpet. How long does it take you using that? I might get one to use on my stairs!
Fiveyearplan a slicker is an oblong shaped brush with a lot of metal pins (you can get ones with plastic pins for puppies). I know they are recommended for finishing lab's coats after you've used the shedding blade but Poppy hated it! They look like this:

Ive always used the slicker on the carpets - stairs take less time with a slicker then a vacuum tbh. Also using the slicker on the carpet takes the edge off the pins slightly which makes it more comfortable for sensitive dogs - or those with fine coats like cockers and spaniels0

what suitable for a cross, between a staffie and a german shepard as he sheds loads of hair, and ive got to brush my clothes down before i go any where and keep vacuming the houseMarried 09/09/090

We have wooden or tiled floors throughout the house (apart from a large rug in DD2's bedroom). The sofa and chairs are leather. This is really useful because, although the three dogs lose vast amounts of hair, it is very easy to just sweep round with a soft brush whenever it's needed.
However, the boot of my car where the dogs sit looks like it's been upholstered using the the skin of a superhairy gorilla
. If anyone knows how to get dog hairs out of nylon car carpet/upholstery then you'll have a fan for life.
Hoovering doesn't work and even using industrial amounts of brown parcel tape doesn't get it all off.
You cannot live as I have lived an not end up like me.
Oi you lot - please
