I rushed to Cuprinol my new fence and now wish I hadn't. My neighbour left theirs to mature into a lovely well-weathered natural colour and my fence needs re-doing every year.
OTOH - it could be said that you neighbour's fence with little or no protection won't last as long, looks tatty and uncared for. While yours - like someone cares, is not lazy, and you have the option of using a colour that blends in with other areas of the garden.I used to work for Tesco - now retired - speciality Clubcard0
