The ability to run homebrew is often used as a justification for the existance of these cards, but I would guess that by far the majority are simply used to play all the DS games, downloaded from the internet, for free.

Which is illegal and shouldn't be done. :naughty:

Does anyone know of anywhere cheaper than £99 for a DS ?
Seen lots for this price but thought they were nearer £80 now ?

Need to get my nephew one for christmas with a game so a DS with a game for about £100 would be perfect

Have tried amazon , play , currys , argos etc..

    Thanks:money:

There aren't a lot of DS bundles out there with a free game (which is essentially what you're asking for, as you're really going to struggle to get the console itself for less then £99).

At the moment HMV are still running the deal where you get a Nintendo DS and Brain Training for £99 (click)
Play.com have some free game they're giving away, but they're all aimed towards girls, and as such I doubt your nephew would appreciate them!

In terms of the cheapest console by itself, Deal Sniper are offering the charcoal black DS for £77.99 (click). If you wanted you could get that and then take advantage of GAME's buy one get one free deal to get a couple of games for £97.99 (click).

  • Deal Sniper are offering the DS lite in a choice of colour with 200 games for 123.99. The games are on DVD & have to be loaded onto a memory card that is part of the package?

Is this legal? How difficult is it to transfer games onto the card?

Sounds a great deal but too good to be true surely:confused:
  • Have you thought about going to Gamestation who sell preowned consoles and games?

You would get much more for your money, something your nephew would appreciate I'm sure!

    I've been Money Tipped!
I got a ds lite and Sims 2 Apartment Pets today from WH Smith (instore) for £99.99.

They also have the ds plus Bunnyz or Puzzler game in Woolworths for the same price.

Not sure when the offers end and they are instore only, not online.

Gamestation are doing a ds for 99.98 with 1 selected game.

Asda sell ds console for £95.00

I bought cards from a local market about 6 weeks ago with games on them for my daughters and they work fine. The cards are available preloaded with games for around £40 each . Beware of cheaper fake versions of the cards as they do not work. I am now able to update the cards myself, its simple to do. last week I got them Fifa 09 and spongebob which alone would have cost me at least £40. I have just downloaded HSM 3 for the DS as well. Don't think thats even out in the UK yet

It is game piracy and not legal in the slightest. Don't even be tempted by it.

In all honesty pre owned games and consoles are not an automatic deal, and that's assuming that they are good quality to begin with. It is still worth hunting around.
