Electoral Roll Detail (Nationality) and Mortgage

Hi,

I have just found out that on the electoral roll me and my partners nationality is not changed (Still showing old renounced nationality). Otherwise looking at the credit score (noodle) it does shows we are on electoral roll. We are both now British Citizen (for about 5 years)

We will be applying for mortgage in next 10 days. Does the nationality details effect my mortgage application (its going to be with Metro bank)?

Thanks

No idea - but contact the Returning Officer on Monday and get it changed.

It may take time; it may not help; but it certainly won't do any harm!

    Thanks,

I am really worried (Monday can't come quick enough). If someone has any light on this then would really appreciate your input.

I would think whatever else you're using to evidence your nationality will outweigh the electoral roll.

Get it changed anyway if you want to vote in all the elections!

Will do that first thing tomorrow.

Does anyone knows which credit agency (Noodle, Equifax etc.) is used by metro bank? May be putting change notice help?

Irony is that I have applied for mortgage last year with Halifax and it came out ok. But each lender have different way of doing checks. Halifax currently dont have very good interest rates for what I am looking for. Hence the metro bank.

The electoral roll is used for proof of address, not proof of nationality. If your credit report is clean (no defaults) then I wouldn't put any notices on it because it will merely delay things.

I don't believe the credit report says anything more than whether or not you appear on the electoral register at the specified address, so nationality should not matter here.
Let's settle this like gentlemen: armed with heavy sticks

And you're Peter Duncan; I gave you fair warning
