Philippine Airlines

My family of 6 has had cancelled flight last Feb 2018 and the staff just asked me If I have been told about the cancellation which I said I wasn't, so we were taken straight to Ibis Hotel in London. We were re booked the next day which was 24hrs delayed. I was really stressed at the hotel because I have 2 autistic kids who cannot understand why we are still not on the plane. I made a complaint to the Airlines and asked for compensation for the cancelled flight but I haven't received any reply. Any help and advice will be much appreciated. Many thanks in advance.
