Charging Regulator - iPhone 6s
Options
Hi guys,
My iphone 6s was plugged into a car cigarette lighter via adapter and fake wire. When all of a sudden the adapter burnt out, taking my phone with it. However the phone continued to work until the battery died. The phone wouldn't power on or charge from a genuine charger or fake 1.
I am led to believe the problem I am having at the moment, whereby the battery lasts no longer than a few hours is the Charging regulator on the motherboard. Something a reputable phone shop with hundreds or 5* reviews claims they can't fix, yet promise the earth in their advertisements, When I collected the phone I was told 'It's a Fuse'. (Something that attracted me to them in the 1st place)
Anyway, firstly is the Charging regulator in an iphone 6s something that can be fixed? and secondly, is the Charging regulator just another name for the Tristar chip, that as i understand it controls the battery amongst other things.
