BT new customer same address

Hi,
My contract with BT is currently ending at the end of next month, I have phone line, tv and broadband and currently pay 43.99 a month. Looking at email when I opened account this price is only set for 12 months and then goes up to over £50. I haven’t contacted bt yet to discuss, but if the are unable to offer me same price or cheaper how easy would it be to cancel and my partner to open up an account as new customer ( who lives at same address) taking advantage of MasterCard, cashback and promo prices?
If this could be done how could it work with minimising any days we may not be with internet, tv?

Yes not an issue as we don!!!8217;t even have phone plug in

Providers are fully aware of this apparent loophole.

You therefore won't find it simple to cancel your services and for your partner to immediately take a new account at the same address.

Does your partner share your surname?

Only a little. An Openreach engineer will still be despatched to disconnect your services, followed at some stage by another (or the same) to reconnect them. Your telephone number will be different.


Why not just sign up with another provider on a new customer deal?
