Broadband Unbundled tool

Why, when you offer a broadband deal am I then directed to your Broadband unbundled tool only for the offered deal not to be shown. I simply want to change my supplier to the offered deal. I would expect to click on the deal and be re directed to their site.

Even more annoying is the first options that come up are firms/suppliers that have poor customer ratings, WHY?

ISPs cheap generally means poorer customer service .
Doubt if you would want offers from high priced excellent service suppliers posted to you .

Because to keep the service cheap they economise on customer service costs, outsource to overseas call centres and so on.

People want cheap and the quality of service that comes with paying a premium price. When push comes to shove it seems many British people would rather think they've got a "deal" and save a few quid, then moan like fury when they talk to customer service and find out they've got exactly what they paid for.

Because not all deals are available in all areas for various reasons, until you put your postcode in how are they supposed to know?

They're sorted by cheapest (effective cost) first, it's a tool to find the cheapest offers. It's up to you to decide what's suitable. That said on standard BB at least, 2 of the first 5 are from Sky along with EE, The Post Office and NowTV which all have good reputations.
