Airport Metal Detector and Euro Notes

If I have euro notes in pants with a security pocket will it set off the metal detector? Flying from Manchester

    For airport security body scan you are required to empty all your pockets and take off any jacket, vest etc. Most modern scanners detect more than just metal and different ones can be available in the same facility.

    Euro notes have features apart from the metal strip that are visible by scan. Excess of 10,000 euros cash going to a non-EU destination needs to be declared, otherwise not..
