Pretty much what title says. Poor dog is itching all the time. To the point where skin is being broken .

Has the dog been properly diagnosed with allergies?

If so you can try a anti-histamine such as Piriton, cheap to buy from a chemist but you must get the correct dosage from the vet.
Always try to be at least half the person your dog thinks you are!

Yes been diagnosed properly. Will mention that thanks, but presume vet will have mentioned it ?.

Poor thing is ripping his skin off. Has his nails filed regularly to keep harm to a minimum.

Is it more the feet or all over?
Is she wiping the dog down afte being outside - it's a faff but it can help.
Have other allergies such as food allergies also been ruled out?
All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.

Boots for his feet on grass, some dogs, especially white dogs have bad grass allergies, also maybe consider changing his food to something for skin allergies to help reduce inflammation.

A friend's dog had allergies to grass. Everytime out walking had to have his paws washed. She used one for babies and dried well afterwards. Along with the tablets from the vet. He became blind with age so no running on grass and she no longer had to do it.

All grasses are different, it might be that your friend needs to become an "expert" in grass types and take the dog to many locations with different grasses to find one that doesn't bother the dog ... although most/all of them might.

Additionally, there are other flowery type things that might be present that are causing the issue.

Your friend could try, for free, just being a "grass and flower spotter" and write down where the dog's been and what happens.

That could, of course, take over a year to find a different grass, without other stuff, that the dog's not allergic to... but it is very MSE as it's free and "worth a go", although a lot of learning/effort.

It might turn out, say, that it's just the grass on the left hand side of wherever she walks the dog .... and by turning the other way that grass isn't present and it's an easy fix, spotted early on in the grass-expert days.

It’s all the dogs underbelly. Not sure if he’s doing that . Will tell him to.
He’s seen a vet, so I assume the vet has done tests. It’s only in the summer, so not food.
