Anyone had their travel expences yet?

Glad you asked. No, I haven't, and I'm beginning to wonder. Everything else was very efficient. Don't know if there was anything in the T&C's.

Panic over, someone on Hotdeals checked up, and was told before the end of the year, as per the T&C's. That's not very far away, mind you....

Should be getting expenses soon, just had this email:
    Dear Eurostar IVT Participant
Thank you for sending in your completed expenses form, this has now been processed and should be in your bank account in the next 5 working days.
If you have any queries please contact the Eurostar IVT hotline on 020 7924 2902 or reply to this e-mail.
    Kind Regards

****I received my payment today (14th Dec), look out for yours. comes up as ADVICE CONFIRMS with a bunch of numbers/letters
  • I had a mystery £25 CHAPS payment into my bank account on 14 Dec - is this the travel expenses, or from some other mystery donor? I didn't get an email to say they've processed my expenses, but am expecting £25 before the end of the month.

Also, as I went on my own, I have only one eurostar IVT voucher. I'm interested in either buying another one, or selling mine, but ebay doesn't seem to have any (or I'm not very good at looking). Any ideas, anyone?

    Thanks in advance

Anyone having any idea if we can sell voucher on ebay? I have never sold anything on ebay...friend of mine said you can't sell eurostar tickets on ebay?
  • Not sure if you can sell the tickets on ebay due to ebay rules rather than Eurostar.

However if you'd like to sell them then let me know as well! ;)

    Interesting info...

Surely, I am intending to sell this as I don't think I will be able to use it.
  • I have used my voucher and have already got the tickets from Eurostar.. I don't know the rules of Ebay about Eurostar, but it does say that you can nominate somebody else on the voucher if you can't use it yourself...You wouln't be able to sell the tickets I think as they all have your name on it and as you have to go thru 2 passport controls, they could ask to see tickets and passports to compare.
But don't forget travel is all subject to availability.. i've sent my voucher on Day 1 for travel in February and already couldn't get my first choice...
    Happy trip...

    That is very helpful. Thanks...

Surely, i wont sell ticket...will sell it as voucher and nominate the buyer or ultimately name of lucky friend who can end up with it :)

So u got your second choice...need to understand what happens if even second is not available?? Though terms and condition say that no restriction other than friday...I think surely they might allow to encash vouchers against cheapest (class) seats they sell..

Happy journey and have a great trip...do keep us posted how it went!!!
  • In fact even my second choice wasn't available on the return (the time not the day) but they phone me to see if the time which they had was suitable I could have chosen another date then.... so i guess if even your second choice is not available they will check with you and try to find something... i believe it's written in their T&Cs that no cash will be offered ...
