    what programs would you recommend i download to have ready to install without connecting to net once i've carried out reinstall

    All the drivers for all the hardware, VERY IMPORTANT and most important SATA drivers if you have a SATA hard drive, and they may need to be on a floppy disk.

    Click 'Info on selected item' and it tells you.

    That IP address is a Onetel domain name server, so if Onetel is your ISP, it's probably okay.
