There is no two-weekly option. As above or else half the amount every week.

If you decide to go to the 2 standing order option - remember to cancel both if needs be!

Most banks don't have an option of setting up a standing order every 2 weeks. To get round it you set up 2 standing orders say the first one on1st of the month then another on 16th of month so that 2 payments per month will go out of the account.

If you are asking why somebody wants to set up a standing order to pay someone every fortnight -- I have no idea! :D

I think one of my accounts offers weekly, fortnightly, four weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annually. Or am I dreaming?

Nationwide and First Direct both offer the option of fortnightly standing orders. I think Yorkshire Bank do too, but I no longer have an account with them to check. HSBC presumably does if First Direct does. Halifax, Lloyds and TSB dont. I don't know about RBS/NatWest, Santander or Barclays.

NatWest has fortnightly standing orders. Also, unusually, 2-monthly and 4-monthly.

I thought that I had an account that allowed payments every n days/weeks/months where n was a number of the customer's choosing. That appears not to be the case at present. Has anyone seen such an account?

Although it isn't an option on Internet banking, perhaps if you ask in branch or on the phone they might be able to set up alternative frequencies. If they can't, then you could ask for a wish for fortnightly SOs to be fed back as a suggestion to the relevant team.
Did you really mean to put loose?
Lose: no longer possess, not to retain, unable to find
Loose: not firmly or tightly fixed in place
