Allegations and invalid eviction served by housing association

The housing advisor at my local council has noted all of this down - I have only been to see them once as I only received the invalid notice recently, so had to book an appointment to get advice and help from the council.
I have logged the visits, unfortunately as they have extended my tenancy for a further three months, I fear that the housing officer won’t do anymore unannounced visits, as they are now aware I am communicating with the local council about all of this, but yes I have a log of the visits - I haven’t received one official visit (with a letter to book it) and haven’t receieved one letter with requests/advice about any complaints.0 -
I moved into a private rented HA home around a year ago, just as a new tenancy was due to be issued, the housong officer served an invalid notice to evict with various concerns of ASB
If the neighbouring properties are privately owned their may be a dislike of HA tenants prompting the petty complaints.
Some housing officers exhibit the same contempt for tenants.
If you write a formal complaint explain it is because you don't understand the housing officers behaviour and you feel it is unfair and is making you feel insecure with your tenancy. Ask for clarity about the confusing eviction notice, the ABS claims and the repeated unannounced visits.
Its possible that you are a bit confused by the situation but its also very possible that your HO isn't very good at their job. With HOs I've had everything from excellent to absurdly amateur, rude and proven dishonesty.
A formal complaint should be dealt with by a manager who should hopefully be competent.0 -
The property is owned by the HA, and I rent it through them. It!!!8217;s a private rental, and not a property that requires applicants to bid on it via local council housing registers. Sort of direct to the market rental.
Some properties are privately owned, but near me a large majority are owned by my HA. To be honest as soon as I moved in, a tenant in a property facing mine marched over to my front door (the back of my property faces their front door) to talk about rubbish that had been left out of the bins near the rubbish bins, so essentially an overspill of rubbish - I had been living there for two days, and I pointed out that as the rubbish was from a child!!!8217;s birthday party, and I didn!!!8217;t have a child, I could safely say it wasn!!!8217;t me who had put the overflowing rubbish there, and I wouldn!!!8217;t do such a thing. I also pointed out that there was an envelope with the name of presumably the birthday girls on it, which wasn!!!8217;t my name.
The response from said tenant was that it!!!8217;s because they!!!8217;ve had lots of problems around here with rubbish, and !!!8220;we all have to report it to the HA and keep an eye out!!!8221;.0 -
I am in the process of a full written complaining, dealing with all of these matters as I want somebody in a more senior position to contact me regarding the issues I am having. I don!!!8217;t think I am confused in terms of unannounced visits or the invalid notice, I know that much.0

Ah yes, now I understand what you meant about the confusion.0
