Afternoon - it was lousy weather in Glasgow but here the sun has just arrived to welcome me home!
DM didn't come shopping so I was able to whizz round two supermarkets for her. She's been awarded AA at the lower rate and is both amazed and delighted as she'd never heard of it.
I'm about to unpack, fill up the bird feeders, have some lunch / dinner and then allow myself a wee glass of chilled fruit juice.
I hope everyone is enjoying the grand weather if they have it. If not...then

Grump is in the garden, mowed the lawns the painting the fencing with preservative... he will be out there some time. I'll have to get him to have a cool shower when he comes in or the air con unit will have to come out at bedtime as he will be too hot to sleep. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. Hi from a very cold & cloudy France

I am very jealous of all the warmth & sunshine in the U.K.
. The decluttering has slowed right down & no-one is turning up to buy anything
probably staying indoors trying to stay warm
TA, glad it wasn’t as you feared but so sorry that Mr TA is struggling to eat. I know though that you are a determined & wonderful lady so I believe that you will be able to find a solution
:)
Is there any chance of some respite care? as I worry that you might become ill as well.
Holly, thanks for starting us off and so happy that you managed a bit more sleep:T Please enjoy the sunshine for me
To everyone with cares or worries or not have the very best day you can & enjoy the sunshine

Holly, I'm glad you managed more sleep.
TA, what everyone else said.
We made it to West Runton in our new camper van and it's a lovely site surrounded by National Trust land. The weather is stunning as well. It's a real makeshift weekend to find out what we will need in the future. Mind you, we got here and realised that we had left one of the most essential items at home - the kettle. It's a case of sorting out the optimum storage for things and seeing what we can fit in.
Ziggypup is loving all the people and dogs around the campsite, I think she must have been a curtain twitching old lady in a former life.0 -
Congratulations to snoozer on the new camper van, sounds lovely.
As the sun was still out I decided to get on some weed spraying. A neighbour lent me his strap on pump and off I went. It was fiddly until I sorted out how to use it. My gravel should be weed free soon. It beats me using the little one litre spray which eventually hurts my hand.
Another neighbour stopped for a quick chat on the way past as he's been away in far flung jungles, he's agreed to use his electric sander on my front door so that yet another neighbour can paint it. Hopefully this year as the paint is all peeling away. The professional painters who did it four years ago didn't bother to remove the peeling and nasty varnish before they painted it. Bah!0
