Greetings to everyone!
I want to start by thanking you for the beginner's guide, which I read, but probably because I am not a lawyer and English is not my native language, I have a few questions.
I built my case as much as I could, taking pictures both day and night to highlight the poor visibility and positioning of warning panel/board. Meanwhile, they have been revised and illuminated with projectors.
I honestly would not like to go to court, and I would try to avoid this by making a new more solid appeal this time, which includes pictures and some arrow draw showing that it was difficult to see that poster.
Because I want to avoid a new mistake, my questions are:
Thanks in advance for your help!

1. On 10.01.2018 in a non-illuminated residential car park I received the "yellow envelope". A few days later I appealed to their website, which was rejected (They took pictures of the car and there board). I know it was a mistake, I take the blame of not informing myself before. In addition, the appeal was poorly built - I have underestimated these [STRIKE]thieves[/STRIKE] guys.
2. At the beginning of April, I received the first envelope from DRP with the sum of 160 pounds, and dated 29.03.2018. Then I started reading your forum and continued to ignore their letters.
3. A few weeks later I received a new envelope from DRP dated 16.04.2018.
4. Today (May 4, 2018), I received a new envelope, dated 01.05.2018, saying "Final chance to pay" in 15 days.

Because I want to avoid a new mistake, my questions are:
- Where should I appeal first?
- POPLA really help citizens or are directly related to these [STRIKE]gangs of thieves[/STRIKE] companies?
- Who else can I ask for help?
Thanks in advance for your help!

Too late for POPLA,
You can either continue to ignore until you get court papers, then come back or pay them.
Your choice.0 -
popla is run by the BPA and that is a members club , paid for by parking companies for parking companies
too late for any appeal now if the incident was last january
popla wont help without a valid working popla code, provided by UKPC
UKPC will NOT provide a popla code at this late stage, so popla cannot help you
nobody, the best advice you can get on this is right here on this very forum
you can IGNORE drp, they are powerless debt collectors
UKPC have 6 years to try a court case against you, you have no control over this unless you pay their demands , IN FULL
we would tell you to sit it out and see if they try a court case, but the choice is yours
a typical loss in court is maybe £175 or less so pointless paying DRP anyway0 -
Ignore them and come back if they try a small claim. We beat them!
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

So in court I have no chance of winning if the entrance to the parking lot was not signaled in any way, and the poster was far in a dark area?0

You are JOKING? We see ordinary posters like you, win 99% of claims defended here!PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

That was about the level of visibility

That's how parking looks on day!

It would be the first time I go to court, I have to take a day off from work, etc. I'm probably going to start a new topic about it at the right section.0 -
the poor and unlit signage are definitely reasons for any defence in court , plus other legal arguments too
but nobody other than a judge will look favourably upon you , so unless you can get the landowner to cancel it, you should wait and see if a court case comes your way, then defend it using the best legal arguments you can use
post #2 of the NEWBIES FAQ sticky thread explains examples of those court defences and arguments
use this thread of yours to discuss it, even if its a long time from now, just post back onto this thread, no need for another thread about it0 -

Might sound stupid, but do you have any advice how can I contact the landlord? I was there and nowhere is it specified who owns that land. :beer:0
