Share Ownership Stamp Duty

Hi All,

I have a similar query from a post that I saw at the begging of the week regarding stamp duty on a share equity property.

I completed in October 2017 however I since believe that I have been overcharged on my stamp duty after reading the government website and relevant posts on this forum.

I originally purchased in 2015 50% share for £87,500 from market value of £175,0000

As mentioned above, In October 2017 I since completed to by 100% with the market value of £200,000 paying an additional £100,000

Before the completion I paid Zero Stamp Duty.

Thank you in advance

Sorry to be pedantic, but shared ownership and shared equity are totally different beasts and have totally different SDLT treatment, so clarifying your situation first would be a good idea...
