I got an email mid April saying aol had merged with yahoo to become oath and as part of new legislation they would be sending out emails updating terms of condition st the beginning of May. If you don't agree to these you lose your aol account on 25th may. Has anyone had their email yet it's making me twitchy as if not seen one and everything is connected to that account so I don't want to loose it.
Thank you.
Thank you.

There should be something on the web site or when you log into your emails.
The email will be to cover the new Data regulations that come in on 25th may probably.
Most other providers have sent the emails and it's just a case of, if you continue using the service you agree.Drinking Rum before 10am makes you

Yep had loads of them.
Moved any emails i may want to access later onto other email addresses now.
When i got the first emails about changing, i thought they may dump the free emails.
Had some for over 20 years, and i have a lot of AOL email addresses. But their data doesnt match my genuine details.

I recently upgraded my iPad but aol has now informed me that my account has expired. I have been a subscriber with virtually daily usage since they started. The Catch 22 is that they have shut down their ‘chat’ site and aren’t answering their emails. I dont mind sending by another supplier but what will happen to the emails sent to me? I cant even contact them to offer to pay for received emails.0

Hi I got an update from my Yahoo ( Oath ) account today basicaly saying ..." agree to these terms and conditions or we'll close your account.
They have blocked me from getting into my Yahoo email account so I can't move them or anything unless i either AGREE or MANAGE OPTIONS which is bound to be hellishly complicated.
I do also have an Outlook email account i could use instead.
Can anyone suggest what to do next ? I could agree for now but the way they use my data is diabolical. Can I get out of it later ?
Advice please a.s.a.p0 -
What do you not agree to with their terms?
Similar with most email providers. They try their best but things happen and its not their fault.. that type of thing?
Only using them for stuff i dont care about now, but its seems like the emails will still be free, no sign of them shutting down.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -

i went into the settings and deselected a tone of settings. - from what
i understand, oath will have the ability to read our emails / Attachments etc:(0 -

When you deselected those settings did they let you back into your yahoo emails ?
At least then you can see who you gave that email address to, and then let the important ones have another email address to use instead.
I've archived stuff I need to move and the whole things a pain !!0 -
I have had the message from AOL saying I must agree to OATH terms and I cannot access my emails now on the laptop. Have read that its best not to sign, they can look at your emails everything, have nothing to hide but think it s an invasion of privacy, my son says that AOL can look at your emails anytime this is just me signing to give permission and I don't want to. So at this time cannot see my emails or anything that I have stored. What can I do, can anyone tell me or do I just agree and allow it. HELP0

unfortunately you need to agree to continue using aol or yahoo email.
if you have a problem with their terms, you could save/download your old emails and open a new email adress with google mail or another provider. - personally, i dont use my email for anything exciting, so it doesnt bother me that much.0
