Moved from Sky to Now TV - Cut my bill half

I just wanted to share my slighty odd but rewarding experience.
I have been with Sky for ages and their service has been brilliant. I did not really want to mess around with changing broadband providers, so I ended up out of contract with Sky and paying over £40 per month just for Broadband and Line rental.
Seeing the deals around I could not go on paying that price so I did a search. I found a really good deal with Now TV for the same package but just £20 per month. I knew they had links to Sky but did not realise it was the same company. That was until I went to the sign up page and it told me I already had an account with them. However the login page was the SkyID page.
I entered my Sky broadband login details and still got accepted as a new customer with NowTV. I also received the 'sorry you are leaving' and 'valued customer' emails from Sky.
The Now TV router arrived and on the bottom is says 'Made by Sky". So it looks and feels like I am getting the same service I have had for years at half the price on a 12 month contract. I also snagged £65 Topcashback too.
I do not know it this helps anyone but there may be some who are worried about moving to a different supplier.

That's actually not slightly odd at all, I've got the same £20 UL fibre from NowTV which goes live tomorrow although annoyingly I missed the TCB deal
I'd had ADSL from Sky for over 10 years but they just couldn't come near the NowTV offer.
They are owned by Sky but are totally separate entities, 12 months down the line you'll be a "new" Sky customer.
If it wasn't for the wife missing the recording facilities of the Sky box I'd ditch that part too for a NowTV box and cheap passes.0
