    Nope...not in the house my daughter moved into; I took the socket apart and there was only the one cable running to the TV port from the loft space.:)

    As we have seen - the physical socket is an irrelevance. You would need to remove the faceplate and check. As to why would it be fitted - simple economies of scale. In bulk, the multi socket would cost less than carrying an inventory of different types based on customer requirements. It still does the job and makes installation less complicated.
