There's not a lot you can tell them other than the truth. Anything else will make the situation worse in the long run. But you have a right to settle their outlay privately, if you can afford to.

I don't understand why your uncle removed the cover if he knew you were using the car. It could be a very expensive mistake.

The policy was not cancelled but transferred to another car. Should i tell the other party insurance company that i was not insured or just give the details of my insurance which was swapped to other car?

And you uncle didn't mention the fact that he had cancelled the insurance on that specific occasion when you borrowed it?

Or was the car was usually in your possession and used by you but was insured in his name with you as a named driver?

Do you have any other motor policy in force for any other csr you own yourself??

If so check if you have driving other cars cover which wlhich could solve your problems.
