Prague car rental - your experience please

I am travelling to Prague over the festive period and have looked around and done some research prior to booking a hire car from 21st - 26th Dec.

In Prague airport the two cheapest rentals are Green Motion and Firefly. However all I can find is negative reviews on both Green Motion and Firefly.

Are they as bad as the reviews say? Does anyone have experience of dealing with them in Prague?

For example a Focus style vehicle is £65 with Green Motion and similar sized £75 with Firefly. All other companies over double.

I have taken a Policy out with Bettersafe to try and alleviate any potential issues further down the line....

£75 is too cheap at peak time, of course they are going to scam you!

What's the public transport like over holidays?

I'd much rather use that in Prague.

Well if I am covered through Bettersafe then my risk is mitigated.

I am visiting far outside the City Centre and car makes it more accessible than public transport. Plus kids.

Bettersafe does not cover you for the fuel scams.

So far no actual comments or experiences about car hire at Prague. Someone must have an actual experience of renting?
